Brain-Body Balance

A Yoga Approach to Stability

10 weeks online course starts 28th January 2025

Discover the power of balance in this 10-week Vinyasa Yoga course designed to help you move more confidently and safely through life.

Running from 28th January to 1st April 2025, this online course offers live one-hour classes every Tuesday at 7 PM GMT on Zoom.

Can’t make the live session? No problem—each class recording will be available for replay until the end of April 2025, allowing you the flexibility to practice at your own pace.

The Journey to Balance:
Balance is more than standing on one leg—it’s a dynamic skill that requires regular practice to maintain and improve. This course focuses on developing your body’s natural ability to balance by incorporating brain drills that stimulate the vestibular system, the “on-board balance system” that helps us stay steady and move safely. Over time, this practice not only improves your physical balance but also enhances your vision and coordination, setting you up for a lifetime of safe and confident movement.

Strengthen Your Foundation:
An often-overlooked component of balance is the strength and mobility of the feet. Each class will include specific exercises to awaken and strengthen your feet, creating a stable foundation for your entire body. These practices will be integrated into the flow, where you’ll explore balancing poses and dynamic movements tailored to challenge and enhance your stability.

No matter your starting point, you’ll find a space to safely explore and improve your balance at your own pace.

Why Join This Course?:
By the end of the 10 weeks, you’ll not only feel more grounded in your yoga practice but also in your daily life. Improved balance means fewer falls, more confidence, and the freedom to move through the world with ease. This is an opportunity to invest in your long-term health and mobility, setting the stage for years of safe and joyful movement.

Join me on this journey to cultivate balance, build strength, and flow through life with greater stability and confidence.

In case you are wondering who the lady in the picture is… Her name was Tao Portion Lynch, one of the oldest yoga teachers in the world. Tao was still teaching yoga at the age of 101 years old, untill she died peacefully in her sleep. In the photo she was 98, I met her at one of her classes in New York in 2016, you can read more about the day I met Tao on my blog post: https://www.yogawithgandha.com/tao-porchon-lynch/.
To me, Tao is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met, I hope seeing her balance in tree pose at 98 inspires you too to work on your balance.
